Injectable Hylaform Wrinkle Correction Therapy has been used to temporarily improve the appearance of fine lines, moderate size wrinkles and shallow scars on the face. Additionally, it is commonly used to temporarily enhance the shape and contour of the lips.

Although Hylaform has been throroughly tested, you will be required to take a Hylaform Test to determine any allergic reactions. All patients are skin tested 4 weeks prior to the procedure. A small percent of patients may experience a positive skin test and will not be suitable for treatments. The patient may only experience minimal discomfort when a topical anesthetic is used. The procedure usually takes 10 to 30 minutes.

There may be minor discomfort such as throbbing, stinging or swelling, which is normal, and disappears quickly.

Although you’ll probably see immediate results, several treatments may be necessary, depending on your age and the condition of your skin.

Repeat treatments are required after 3 to 6 months.
